All foreign students should apply directly to the higher education institutions for each course and programme. Foreign student counsellors and the admissions offices can provide the necessary information and forms.

Although tuition, in almost all cases, is free, students should take into account living costs in Sweden. Scholarships are primarily managed by the Swedish Institute (Svenska Institutet), which administers over 500 scholarships for students and researchers coming to Sweden.
